There are over 70 sculptures along the Understory trail. Each been created in response to the unique landscape, people and history of the Southern Forests region (Northcliffe in particular).
New sculptures are added to the trail regularly.
ephemeral (temporary sculptures)
Sculptures that have disintegrated over time (and no longer appear on the trail) are recorded here. They includes works by highly recognised WA artists such as Nalda Searles, Olga Cironis & Susan Flavelle.

ARTWORKS CREATED WITH COMMUNITY
Connection to the local community is a core component of the Understory trail. Many of our artists work closely with the local & regional community in development of new sculptures for the trail.
